In the picturesque and quiet surroundings of Lake Lipno with a panorama of the Šumava hills, 730 m above sea level, is located the U lípy family boarding house and restaurant. The boarding house is situated in Hůrka u Horní Plané on the route Český Krumlov – Horní Planá. The foundation of the building dates back to the 18th century.

The more than 200-year-old house has been carefully rebuilt in the year 2001 into a boarding house with a stylish restaurant, dominated by a fireplace in its center.

The comfortable environment of the restaurant can serve for corporate presentations and trainings, as well as for a candlelit, romantic dinner for two. The restaurant can als host wedding parties, celebrations, receptions, seminars and toher events.

The boarding house offers nine 2-bed and 3-bed rooms. Each room is comfortably furnished with a shower, toilet, and satellite TV.

In a new building there are another 6 double rooms equipped with comfortable facilities, garages and a room to store bikes.

A terrace in front of the boarding house offers a beautiful view of the lake and Šumava hills.

Guests can use a reserved parking lot behind the building. Railroad and bus stations are nearby.

Families with children can use the land surrounding the boarding house for sport, or to end the day by a campfire. The surrouding country can satisfy the needs of guests of all age groups and occupations.

Our clients can enjoy relaxation, rare in this hurried age, and sport opportunities – especially hiking, mushroom picking, fishing, roller-skating, tenis, horseback riding and mini-golf.

Great conditions for skiing and other winter sports in the surroundings during winter.

In case you prefer water sports, we can offer you swimming, windsurfing, rowboat riding, catamarans and water-touring in the upper and lower Vlatava river. Thanks to newly built bicycle tracks around the lake, the bicycle rides are very popular.

Approximately 150 meters from the boarding house is a private beach, where guests can sped an afternoon at the lakeside. A jetty for fishing boats can be found on the beach as well.
